ABOUT US
What we do
Our dedicated Missionaries have been tirelessly working with the local people for 10 years. As a result some are opening their eyes to start engaging with the programs called Health Promotions, Education Essential, and Hope for the Future. Through these programs hundreds of villagers started opening their mind, their eyes to see a better way of living. Each Missionary with some of their family is given an allowance for living. This mission project is made possible through generous donations from members and in partnership with Perth Chin Baptist Church. There have been over 300 hundreds converts to a new life accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Let it be for the glory of God. Amen. Read more about our mission
OUR STORY
From the beginning
The Melbourne Chin Church was the first established Church among the Chin Churches in Australia. We, the Chin people are one of ethnic groups in Burma (Myanmar). In 1999, about 20 Chins arrived to Melbourne, Australia. As we are Christians, we love gathering together and worship God wherever we are. Therefore, after a few months these firstly arrived Chins met together and worshipped at the residence of Rev.Arohn Kuung at Spotswood. The Church was started with 13 members as Melbourne Chin Christian Fellowship on 4th January 2000.

Ministries
mission
Our Mission Department aims to spread Christianity to new converts or to geographical areas where the Gospel has not been told. We allocate individuals also called missionaries in 9 villages across Myanmar to carry on evangelism or to save people’s soul through the power of God.
Pastoral care & counceling
Support Church members and its community including but not limited to confidential emotional and spiritual illness. Religious and sacramental care, prayer, communion, Home visit and Sermon on Sunday worship services.
Women
Women’s ministry is vital to the spiritual growth of our Church members. Often women’s ministry organised prayers, fasts during Church Camp and weekly Worship services on Sunday. It offers a safe place for women to share feelings, request prayer and grow in their spiritual disciplines.
Youth
The Church Youth Ministry is a dynamic space for young believers to deepen their faith. Through vibrant worship, fellowship, and service, it cultivates a strong sense of community, encouraging spiritual growth and active engagement in the journey of faith.
Christian education
MCC Children Ministry is for Children in our congregation from 3 to 18 years of age. This is offered every Sunday. Our aim is to raise them through God’s words, songs and teachings; so that they will come to live for God and grow into authentic disciples of Jesus.
mcc care
MCC Care is devoted to supporting the marginalised—assisting the poor, comforting the heartbroken, and aiding the bereaved and widowed. Through unwavering compassion, it uplifts those in need, fostering a sense of community and solace within MCC.
